During Lockdown I have been running a number of mini series on my social media pages. The focus this week was on sustainable home organising.
As a Professional Organiser I am passionate about supporting my clients to be more sustainable in their homes.
NO CHANGE IS TOO SMALL.
I support my clients to focus on what they can change. Sustainable organising reduces environmental impact as you only purchase what you need and keep the things you no longer need in circulation.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
1. Reduce – be a conscious consumer – Buy for the long term. Before making a purchase think about if you need it, are you replacing an item. where it will be stored and will you use it/wear it. Think about offering experiences or vouchers for gifts
2. Reuse – can you rehome an item that you are not using elsewhere in your home or to a friend/relative i.e. upcycle furniture, move decorative items rehome storage boxes etc.
3. Recycle – items that you no longer need to an appreciative new home i.e. sell or donate.
