End of The School Year – Recycling Uniform

End of The School Year – Recycling School Uniform

It’s that time again (well officially). My children stopped wearing school uniform on the 20 March and will not need it again until September. My youngest has had a big growth spurt so we have plenty of extra uniform.

Now is the time to go through your school uniform and decide which items will still fit your children in September. You can then make a list of any new items (with sizes) that you need to purchase before the start of the new school year. I know that the school uniform shops such as Stevensons and Beats are open for pre-booked appointments.. Marks and Spencer’s are also offering a 25% sale discount on uniform currently.

Options to Recycle School Uniform

1. Many schools run second hand uniform sales to help raise extra funds for school projects.

2. Many infant/junior schools also welcome extras as spares in case of accidents.

3. Ask a friend with younger children if they need any extra items.

4. Any non branded items such as shirts, trousers an skirts can be donated to local charity shops.

Happy organising!
