Stress Free Christmas Gift Buying
My Top 8 Tips
Gift List – Create a list of everyone that you need to buy a gift for and allocate a budget for each person.
Gift Ideas – Before I buy anything I like to spend time thinking about suitable gifts for each person. Ask family and friends for ideas if you are not sure what to buy. This ensures that the gifts that you buy will be wanted. I especially recommend this with teenagers. I usually keep a list that I add ideas to throughout the year which I can use nearer the festive season
Buy local- Let’s support our local businesses this Christmas 2020. It’s been a challenging time for everyone throughout lockdown. Now is the time to show how much we value our local shops, businesses and services. We are lucky to have so many amazing businesses in St Albans and the surrounding areas in Hertfordshire. St Albans Mums have produced a fabulous Christmas Gift Guide www.onlinesocial.co.uk.
Experience Gifts – consider buying gift vouchers or experience gifts that family and friends can look forward to using once the lockdown restrictions ease.
Gifts Ordered – keep a list of any gifts that you have ordered/awaiting to be click and collected. This will help you stay on top of everything that has been ordered but yet delivered.
Wrap as you go – Save time nearer to Christmas by wrapping gifts as you go.
Postal Deadlines – you may be sending more gifts by post this year due to lockdown restrictions. Allow extra time for parcels to arrive. Check last postal dates.
Happy Christmas gifting.
