3 Easy Steps to Simplify Your Home Organisation
For many people getting started with their home organisation can be the most difficult stage. They often feel overwhelmed by the task ahead and don’t know where to start.
Here are my 3 easy steps.
Step 1 – Decide that you want to make a change: this is recognising that your space is not working as well as you would like and is taking a lot of energy and time to manage. Acknowledging that you’d like to make a change to simplify your home organisation is the most important step and your key motivator.
Step 2 – Ask for the support that you need: often people start organising independently with the guide of an organisational book or with the support of a family member. If you find that you have read the steps in the organisational book but are still finding it difficult to get started you may benefit from working with a Professional Organiser. A Professional Organiser provides a confidential and non-judgemental service to support you every step of the way. This takes away the pressure of deciding where to start, how to prioritise and what to do with the things that you no longer need.
Step 3 – Prioritise & Schedule Time in Your Diary: scheduling time in your diary to declutter and organise will help you to prioritise and achieve your goals step by step. Many of my clients feel much calmer knowing they have time booked in the diary with Tracy Ross to organise a space. They don’t need to worry about when they will do it as the time is already allocated.
